Texting (SMS) is Like Dating

Texting (SMS) is no doubt the preferred method of choice when communicating with friends and family these days. Although it loses it's personnel touch, it is most definitely a non-intrusive, most direct, and more efficient way to communicate.

I have implemented different marketing campaigns since the beginning of the year and building a Mobile database is definitely like Dating. You have to go through the same life cycle of picking up your next relationship. Here are the comparisons:

#1 Pick your Mate - Just like hanging out at a party or going to a bar, you have to scope out the place to find who might be of interest to you. Once you have identified that individual your goal is start a conversation and get them to stay engaged with your discussion.

In Mobile Marketing, you have to identify your customers and then get them to engage in some kind of related dialogue (i.e. Text to Win, For more Information). You want your mobile customers to engage and to get their curiosity juices flowing.

#2 Get their Number - Once you have had some conversation with your potential MATE, your next goal is to make them give you his/her number. The potential MATE will only give their number if they are interested or if they think the action can build some type of relationship. At this point, you got their number and you can scream "GOAL"! This is a huge step!

In Mobile Marketing, this concept holds true as well. The information or the offer that is provided in the Texting Campaign has to be good and enticing enough to convince your potential clients to give you their number. They will only participate in your Mobile Campaign if they feel they can benefit by offering their private number to your business. They have to trust your brand and your intentions. Once you get them to participate, your BRAND can scream GOAL!!!

#3 Be Careful not to Stock - Once you get their number, your goal as an individual is to keep that number in good standings. The last thing that anybody wants is a "Stocker" type call every 5 minutes. If you break that trust and your MATE feels violated, the relationship is immediately terminated.

In Mobile Marketing, if you as a brand decide to send a TEXT message everyday to a person who just gave you their number, they will surely feel that same STOCKER type action and immediatly terminate the relationship. Obtaining their number was half the battle, but keeping their number in good standings is the rest of the battle.

#4 Blissful Love - Once you have had serveral conversations and both parties feel comfortable with each other, you can now enjoy your new partner and call them without any inhibitions. Go on a couple dates and bask in the cloud of Blissful Love.

In Mobile Marketing, you have gained your customers trust and now you have a good chance to send a Mobile SMS blast frequently without feeling like you are bothering them. This is a paramount step in your campaign cycle and this is where you need to be careful and interact responsibly to keep the relationship "Alive and Kicking"!


But wait....it's not quite over

#5 Splitting Up and It's over - In any relationship, if any partner becomes irresponsible or crosses the trust line, they have every right and most likely would terminate the relationship.

In Mobile Marketing, if you have gained your customers trust, but decided to send them too many Text Messages on any given day, there will be repercussions! You never want to get to this stage as this would be an expensive loss to your overall efforts. Your clients can opt out at anytime, so it is pertinent to maintain a responsible SMS Mobile campaign to keep them loving you like day one!

In conclusion, Mobile Marketing can be very beneficial to your bottom line! Like any relationship, there will be a lot of WORK ahead, but blissful LOVE is just down the road!
Just do it!

CTIA - Wireless Association Making Commercials

I just witnessed the very first commercial created by CTIA. For those who are not familiar with the mobile space, CTIA is the main governing body for the wireless industry. This association caters to all companies that may be dealing with everything to do with the mobile space (i.e. hardware, software and services for mobile phones and much more).

The commercial centered how everybody in the world wanted something specific on their mobile device. They laid it all out very dramatically to include...you wanted it when it could not work(referring to more cell towers being installed)....you wanted it to be free of hands (referring to bluetooth headsets)....you wanted unlimited plans (referring to many of the carriers offering these typeof plans)....you wanted your email, pictures, messages, and GPS functionality and so on. All very dramatic, but in so many words the TRUTH.

The mobile device has and is one of the most exciting personal and business device ever created. All shapes and sizes! It allows people to stay connected and it allows them to enjoy many things we love to do all throughout the day.

Great movement and I see Mobile Marketing becoming such a normal channel through these wonderful devices, but one thing has to hold out in this SPACE! RESPECT! All mobile companies must protect and RESPECT the consumers and users. Once the privacy and time is violated, this wonderful SPACE can become less effective and what we enjoy so freely can soon be governed by Big Brother. Respect and careful planning in the wireless world is what the CTIA is trying to maintain and I love it.

Texting....Texting....Texting

For those who are following my crazy ventures....my latest, greatest and most exciting project is building a SMS Texting platform. I have never been so pumped and excited about finally using my technology skills and now my new found marketing skills. Most of you know that I am all about diversifying my overall portfolio of investments and about a year ago I opened up a Cold Stone Creamery. Opening up a traditional franchise has been LOADS of fun but it has been a real big challenge in regards to ramping up on the logistics and nature of any traditional retail business. I can rant about this venture all day but the main reason why I am writing this blog is because I want to say that moving forward I am going to BLOG about how I can effectively use TEXTING to my advantage. I have been keeping up with the mobile space and I am going to use this as an opportunity to show you how much relevance SMS texting is going to be in all of our lives moving forward....most importantly on how my Cold Stone can leverage this opportunity.

Health in General

The past couple of months has been a roller coaster ride for me. My brother who is only 33 years just had a heart attack!!! Wow, this is wake up call to all of us in the Daganzo clan! My mother is a Triple Bypass patient and her whole side of the family has encountered high cholesterol levels, high blood pressure and diabetes. It's time for me to wake up and smell the coffee in regards to my health. Life is too short and although I suffer the work habits of most of corporate America I have to remember that my HEALTH and FAMILY is the highest priority in my life. I consider myself pretty healthy and I eat better and exercise more than ever since post high school life, but I have to put my age into perspective. With all these events, I have taken steps to ensure that I try to fight these hereditary diseases. I did a regular physical visit to my doctor and I recently found out that I am "BORDERLINE" with having HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE. This has to change!!! It's time to take ACTION! He noted that I need to slow down and exercise and not concentrate on becoming RICH! That was a weird comment as this is not my GOAL. My goal is to have PASSIVE income and not to be RICH! If you have PASSIVE income coming in you don't have to worry about money and just worry about managing the out and inflow of that money. Hopefully this will allpw me to spend more time on my health!! But here is the deal....I am waking up and I am realizing that I need to concentrate on my HEALTH so that I can continue to build the PASSIVE income effectively. In summary, I am listening to my Doctor, looking at my family trends, and making sure that HEALTH is part of creating some effective PASSIVE income. After all, you cannot enjoy your PASSIVE income if you don't have the HEALTH to go along with it!!!

Advertising Social Network Part I

It has been awhile since I have updated my Business Fusion Blog. I have since opened a traditional franchise and I am about to start another software product that I am thinking is going to flourish in the market and will hopefully be recognized my many corporations for years to come. We will talk about this as the days unfold. I still have the same inspiration I had when I first started this blog and I need to start sharing my experiences more often cause I think I am finding all the little buckets of income that I have been desiring to obtain. Again, I would like to reiterate that my goal is not to be RICH, cause honestly having my family and those I hold dear in my heart is all I need to be considered RICH. What I am searching for is RESIDUAL income. The whole Rich Dad Poor Dad syndrome is still in me and I am not going to stop till that day comes.

Alright, so let me get to the point in regards to this blog. I have always said that it is always good to keep your options open and to always listen to what presents itself to you on daily basis. From my previous blogs I talked about opening up a Travel Agency to take advantage of the tax benefits, and indeed there is a place for that type of business. I enrolled in the YTB network and there is definitely a niche for that market and there are opportunities to make a good residual income but it still boils down to getting people to start their own business and making sure your TEAM stays afloat. If your team falls apart the main money flow will slow down. If you don't have any other business entity in your life, then YTB or some kind of travel agency is definitely a great way to take advantage of the tax benefits and have the opportunity to write some things off in a big way. I have invested in many different investment vehicles but I will never close the door 100% in exploring NETWORK businesses that are out there. Thus, the next topic of discussion is where I go into a new interesting BUSINESS breed that I have been experimenting on for the past 2.5 months.

Ladies and Gentlemen, let me introduce you to something called an Advertising Social Network. When businesses create an online presence (i.e. www.xxx.com). They want to push people to hit their website and hopefully in return get some business out of all the people hitting their websites. Traditional Online advertising dollars are spent using Google Adwords. There are no guarantees that you are going to get any business out of this vehicle, but there is a guarantee that you are going to pay for every person that hits your link on the adwords that are presented on googles side crumbline. Not a bad way to advertise, but there are not chances to get your money back. Once it is paid it goes BYE BYE! The business I am trying out is called the ASD (Ad Surf Daily) Cash Generator. What they have done is to allow people to put their business web sites on a Social Advertising wheel. You invest into advertising on this wheel like all the other traditional online advertising, but here is the twist. ASD offers a way to get a rebate on the dollars you spend. How do you get these rebates? Well you have to view X amount of web pages a day to qualify for a rebate and those rebates only get paid if certain conditions are met. This is a phenomenal model and if you stay tune for the next blog I will share more on how you can make money with this model! Remember all my blogs will be about opportunities to find buckets of income and not one to get you FILTHY rich....very far and few between. Let me end this PART I blog by saying this business model will allow you to get to take advantage of compound interest and make 1% daily on your money. Much more than I am making on my 401K these days :-(

Motley Fool Stock Advisor

I just wanted to share a site that I believe has a lot of merit for those who want to invest in some stock on their own playing field. I still belive that you should ensure that you have a portfolio that is managed by a professional to keep your conservative returns up to par, but for those who want to play a little on the side I have been trying to find a set of online pros that can lead the way.

If you don't have an online brokerage account I have 2 that I recommend. I opened up an account with Ameritrade back in the days, but has recently been overtaken by TDWaterhouse. The new site is TDAmeritrade (www.tdameritrade.com) and offers a great service. They require about a $2000 minimum and have very low transaction fee. They have great tools and researching public companies is very easy. My brother told me about another site called Sharebuilder (www.sharebuilder.com) which offers similar services but check this out.....no account minimum. Go check it out!!!

Anyways, let me get to the point......I highly recommend subscribing to the Motley Fool Stock Advisor. These guys used to give out free advice back in the day but have proven to beat the S&P Index time and time again, thus their subscription service. Anyways, they tell you what to buy, why you should buy, when to sell and just a whole bunch of good information. It's funny because they are brothers who like to compete with one another and they give you a scorecard month to month!!!!
