I have always had an identity issue when it comes to what to become an expert at. Presently I wear like 4 HATS (programmer, Realtor, Ice Cream Man, and Travel Agent). Well for those who know me I have been a computer programmer since 1994. There is no doubt I know a lot about this industry, but do I know everything? Absolutely NOT! But here is the deal.....what I think sets me apart from other people is my eagerness to LEARN a little about "A LOT OF THINGS". Growing up and even in today's society we get trained to be a specialist at ONE THING; Create a Niche Market and do what you do BEST! While some of this has some truth, I really believe that you need to have a specialty but not ignore "Learning a Little about A Lot". This will give you broad knowledge about everything and allow you to stir up a good conversation with more people that you meet in your life. Also, you become a GO-TO person when someone has a question about life in general. It's a good feeling!!!
Here is the GOAL......be special at something, but create a DREAM TEAM of people in your sphere to collaborate and share the knowledge to take the whole team to the next level. Remember collaborate but don't take advantage!!!!! Taking advantage of someone is not RIGHT and can lead to what I say "Yucky Business".

Hi Jerson, I was doing a specific search on google on a statement made about success in general by a highly regarded self-made multi-millionaire, W. Clement Stone. His statement "know a lot about a little" was my search criteria. Your's is the reverse, "know a little about a lot." Whats strange is that mobile maketing has been on my mind all morning. Quite syncronistic wouldn't you agree?
